My Story

I am a Canadian born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I have had many different roles in multiple industries and have always been drawn to problem-solving and design. I now reside in Edmonton, Alberta, and focus on designing, teaching, and building products and experiences.

Since living here in Edmonton I have established Rocketsolid, my web development agency, and Orbit, a no-code landing page education platform. I also met Arina Tashchilina, and together, we have a wonderful two-year-old daughter named Tatyana.

I feel like I’m just getting started in my career and look forward to the next chapter. Arina, Tatyana, and I are preparing to move to Innsbruck, Austria sometime in summer 2024.

My Product Delivery Understanding

I am experienced at deeply understanding problems, and I have learned to leverage my understanding to influence how I might facilitate the strategic and tactical decisions involved in delivering products. Please contact me if you would like to learn more about my ideas and processes.

My Education, Certifications, and Professional Development

I balance my desire to create and practice skills with my desire to learn theory. I have a learning roadmap for myself, and I intend to follow this in 2025 to the extent that I am not prevented from taking new and interesting projects.

This website built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This website uses a custom theme that I developed with Hugo, a static-site generator (SSG) powered by Go. The homepage animation is rendered with PixiJS, a 2D WebGPU/WebGL renderer. All backend services and infrastructure are managed by Rocketsolid.
