Course Creation

In my role at Learnology, I developed course content across high school and university levels, created challenging questions to push students beyond their current abilities, and designed comprehensive prep courses. These courses were structured to meet the unique needs of each student, typically delivered over three sessions of 2-3 hours each.

I also created and scored mock exams, emphasizing the importance of learning from mistakes. I continually consulted with students, parents, and adult learners to understand their goals, timelines, and challenges, ensuring a student-centric approach to each session.

Instruction and Mentoring

As an instructor, I employed various strategies to build rapport with students and facilitate effective content delivery. These included:

  • Increasing student confidence in their abilities
  • Presenting information in an engaging, easy-to-follow manner
  • Boosting exam-taking abilities
  • Delivering content through lectures, discussions, problem-solving exercises, and practice exams
  • Developing personalized learning plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Assessing students’ academic strengths and weaknesses

A critical part of my teaching methodology involved regular formative assessments, a narrative uniquely designed for each student’s lessons. I adopted a story-like teaching approach, often told by students that they “could hear my voice” during exams.

Moreover, I served as a mentor, helping students navigate difficult situations and devise strategies to overcome obstacles. Student mentorship requires active listening and balancing academic goals and students’ emotional well-being.

Conclusion

I enjoyed working with Learnology; practicing 1-on-1 teaching techniques with other professionals was a wonderful opportunity. The constant flow of student success stories made it particularly memorable. My key achievements include helping to improve the grades and confidence of many students, creating custom learning materials for homestudy, and providing mentorship guidance through challenging situations.

Reflecting on this experience, I take pride in the positive impact on students’ academic and personal growth. It has refined my teaching and mentoring skills and underlined the importance of personalized, empathetic education. I hope the lessons and support we provided to students through Learnology will continue to shape their future endeavors and contribute to their long-term success.
